Lunia is a planet far from Earth, located in a solar system which has not been discovered by humans or by any other species. It reached its current location after millions of years of travelling through space, impulsed by the thrust produced by the collapse of the black hole that formed this mysterious planet.

Lunia presents many particularities. One of them is its characteristic purple colour when observed from space. While its atmosphere is similar to the Earth’s, mainly composed of oxygen and nitrogen, plant life seems to be able to generate metabolic energy from sunlight using a purple pigment molecule called ‘retinal’. This molecule is what gives the planet its aspect. Another of these peculiar things is that Lunia is in a geosynchronous orbit with its star. As such, one of its faces is always illuminated, while the other is always in the dark and, therefore, also much colder.

It is precisely on the illuminated face where the ancient tree known as the Great Seed grew and flourished. But the plant life, this great tree, and the strange seedpods that grow from its branches are not the only living beings that have appeared on Lunia. Little creatures known as poof-poofs roam the surface at their will, although they are clearly found in higher numbers in the proximities of the Great Seed. Why? That’s another of the many mysteries that Lunia has yet to reveal.
